FORMUFIT PVC Library is Live (Beta Test)

Our FORMUFIT Free PVC Plans library is now live, in Beta.

Check out any of our freely available PVC plans, which have been designed to be simple to build and provide all of the parts and tools necessary for successfully building the project. In addition, each plan includes a Google SketchUp document, which can be used to view the construction or used to modify the design to fit your needs.

We've split the library up into several different areas of interest:

Pets & Dog Agility: PVC Plans for Pet owners looking for plans to build Dog & Cat Beds, Bird Perches and Dog Agility equipment, such as weave poles, jumps and pause boxes/tables.

PVC Furniture: PVC Plans that include designs of some general patio furniture, temporary party furniture for weddings and events, as well as some outdoor pool furniture.

Autos & Garage: PVC plans for items generally related to Automobiles & Garage use, such as storage, truck bed extenders and auto body work tools.

Greenhouse & Garden: PVC Plans for Greenhouses, Cold Frames & Hoop houses, as well as some yard tools and structures to make life in the garden and yard easier.

House & Home: PVC Plans to make tasks in the home easier, or to help with storage needs for laundry, home offices and basement storage.

Kids & Family: PVC Plans for the kids that include playhouses, sleds, sprinkler style toys and more. Business & Office: PVC Plans to make office tasks easier, such as file carts, shelving and storage systems.

Hobbyist: PVC Plans for the technical hobbyist, such as radio operators, robotics fans and Arduino developers.

As mentioned, the PVC Library is in Beta testing. This means that there are a limited amount of plans currently listed, and there may be a few bumps in our design of that segment of our site. Let us know if you come across anything unusual!

We’re also looking for assistance with building our Free PVC Plans library. If you have an idea, whether it be a sketch on a napkin, or something you’ve built before, let us know. If you plan becomes a fixture within our PVC plans library, we’ll give you $25 in store credit. You can get more info on submitting ideas here.

We plan to update the PVC Library with HUNDREDs of new plans over the coming months, and will be adding several plans each week to various categories, so check back often!

Three New SketchUp Tutorials!

We've just uploaded three new tutorials for our FORMUFIT Google SketchUp Components on YouTube (which are also available in our Google SketchUp Downloads section, towards the bottom).

The tutorials cover how to get our components imported into SketchUp an and how to move them about, how to use our specialized handles layer to connect and position the fittings and pipe, and how to resize our PVC pipe Dynamic Components.

Using SketchUp to plan your project before you place your order with us is an easy and effective way to work out design issues, determine what items you need and to determine the costs involved in your projects.

If you are new to SketchUp, you can learn the basics here, direct from Google, then hit up our videos to learn the rest.

New FORMUFIT Google SketchUp Components

We’ve released new sets of our FORMUFIT Google SketchUp components in our Downloads section and also at the Google SketchUp 3D Warehouse. Our latest iteration of SketchUp components now have handles within them to easily guide and connect the ‘virtual’ PVC fittings together with ease. Also, each handle properly gauges the correct insertion distance into each fitting, so you know your pipe sizes are cut correctly.

You can view a quick tutorial on how to enable and use the Handles layer in each of our PVC Components here on YouTube.

We’ve got more exciting things coming later this month! So stay tuned!
