We get asked often if our products are ‘Made in America’. Unlike many of our online competitors, our answer is always the same:
Absolutely.
We take pride in the fact that all of our products are sourced locally from the United States. We go out of our way to make sure that all of our products that we offer are American made. In fact, we refuse to import any products from overseas. It's our policy. Why do we do this? Allow us to explain:
1. Using products from other countries does not help the economic situation in the Unites States. We could easily increase our profits (generously) if we wanted to import our products from abroad like some of our competitors have chosen to do. However, if we were to import products from overseas, Americans would lose jobs. The majority of our sales are to Americans. In the circle of economics, that just doesn’t make any sense.
2. There is no safety standards on PVC products imported from most overseas countries. Imported PVC products from overseas manufacturers contain dioxin by-products, phthalate plasticizers and other harmful toxins in their products. We use no such chemicals in the extrusion or manufacture of our products. Our products are pure polyvinyl chloride and UV-protectant, are non-toxic and completely safe and all of our manufacturers follow strict safety guidelines for their employees.
3. The quality of the products we sell is exceptional. Most imported PVC fittings and pipe do not have the required UV-protectant that is so important when building a structural PVC project. Without it, projects will turn yellow and crack in a very short period of time. In addition, they have sharp, flat edges which wont work for products such as furniture, dog agility jumps or any other structure that would require human, or animal, contact. Finally, the products we get from the US are beautiful, glossy and impact proof, something we have not found in an imported construction.
Don’t get us wrong. We love our iMacs and our Kindles. But when it comes to the economic setting, safety and quality of our PVC products, we continue to only use products Made in the USA.
